May 16-20, 2010

The 18th Topical Conference on High-Temperature Plasma Diagnostics will be held May 16-20, 2010 in Wildwood, New Jersey. This biennial conference brings together plasma physicists from a variety of fields including magnetic confinement fusion, inertial confinement fusion, space plasmas, astrophysics, and industrial applications to discuss mutual problems in the development of instrumentation and experimental techniques for the characterization of high-temperature plasmas.

The conference format will be similar to those of the past, consisting of seven sessions of invited and contributing papers.  The contributing papers will be presented in the poster format.  Two of the meeting days will have morning and evening sessions, with the afternoons free for individual discussions and activities.  To further encourage participant discussions and interactions, no parallel sessions are being planned.

The conference will be held at the Wildwoods Convention Center located in the shore town of Wildwood, New Jersey.  The Wildwoods Convention Center is a modern, multipurpose facility located on the world famous Wildwoods Boardwalk directly overlooking the beach and ocean.   There are 38 blocks of exciting Wildwood boardwalk attractions, restaurants, shopping and three incredible amusement piers.  Wildwood is less then 10 miles from Historic Cape May and 30 miles from Atlantic City.  It is an easy drive from Philadelphia, Washington, Baltimore and New York.
